#TheNext65
Strategic modernization and operational transformation.
My name is Ninah Nimi BRIGGS, MNIA, ARB, RIBA, and I believe that together we can build an Institute that not only endures but inspires. I humbly look forward to your support, your vote, and your companionship along this journey.
Our 65-year story has brought us here. The next 65 years depend on what we do now – how we reimagine the Institute, retool its processes, and reignite its purpose.
For 65 years, our Institute has stood as the custodian of architectural excellence and professional identity in Nigeria. We have endured, evolved, and contributed, yet the world around us has changed at a pace that demands a new kind of responsiveness – one that bridges generations, renews systems, and redefines relevance.
In 65 years, we have built a legacy – but sustaining that legacy now requires transformation. Our structures, curricula, and institutional frameworks must evolve to meet the realities of today’s design economy and tomorrow’s global challenges.
Strategic outreach
Our next chapter must be one of strategic renewal.
- Re-examines how we teach, train, and transition young architects into relevance.
- Demystifies our governance structures for generational inclusion and continuity.
- Reinforces the profession’s presence within the public sector through advocacy and prime visibility.
- Expands architectural impact in the private sector through innovation, partnerships, and economic literacy.
And above all, future-proofs our Institute for professional sustainability in a constantly disrupted world.
